I am a Kansas Independent Agent Representing a number of Insurance Companies. Most often, (although not always), we find Progressive will represent the best auto insurance value for our prospects and customers. I suspect there was some mistake with your quote and would recommend that you try again. If you get the same, or event close to the same result, try contacting an independent agent for assistance in finding your best auto insurance value.

Sue them

Posted by nevermind on 9/23/2008

If the son who had the accident was not a full-time resident of your home at the time of the accident, you are not required to list them as a driver on your policy and the policy covers any licensed driver driving your vehicle, including "guests" even if they are blood-related but do not live with you. You should see a lawyer and sue Progressive.

JUST OK

MY husband and I had full coverage insurance on two cars with them for over a year and a half. And we have twins that were away at Military school whom had been gone from living at home with us for over 6-months. So, they were listed as driver's but due to me having surgery my husband took them off to save us some moneyas current drivers sense they were only home every 3-6months. Well my son was home visiting and was in a car accident and totaled one of our older car which was covered under full coverage with them but my son was not a covered driver at the time of his visit so they did not even try to cover or assist us in the accident at all even though the car was covered and my son wasn't covered for his visit. I know that's how things go but I was hoping to get some help from them sense we did have full coverage on the car half or something not just a door closed in our face like we NEVER gave them our money for coverage for almost 2-yrs. THIS COMPANY SUCKS DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY......GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!! WE HAVE!

good rates

i am very happy with my rates at progressive. i got a new vehicle and i was expecting the rates to go way high, and they didn't. just a couple of bucks more. i told my friend about it and she just went online to get a quote and she was like . . . ."i should have done this many years ago!" she stated she saved $20 a month. it might not sound like a lot, but the way the economy is heading....it's best to save whatever you can.

A joke

Posted by momof7kiddos on 5/29/2008

Progresssive is a complete joke. I have been using them for a year now and my rates are constantly going up. I start at 103 dollars a month, I'm now paying 151 dollars. And no i have not had any tickects or accidents.

People need to realize that the cost of everything is going up. I am an agent i have no tickets or accident nad mine went up just like most peoples. The rise in insurance premiums adjust according to the company's claim losses.
